After much internal debate and Smirnoff Black Ice, I have finally managed to put the first issue of xhanubis together. This for me was my first attempt at creating an online magazine dedicated to Jamaica, as seen through my eyes. This was the birth of what was eventually to become ‘Life in Jamaica’. 7 years later the desire to share not only the culture of my country but also my unique point of view still remains strong and 50+ articles later, Life has continued to fulfill its original mandate while exploring new topics and issues beyond the cloud of smoke.

Mandate
Life is an attempt to capture snapshots of the culture of urban Jamaica as embraced by the herbalists, smokers and non-smokers alike. It is an urban expose in the characters and culture which make up the local herbal landscape. It is an indulgence in the sights, sounds, and movements which rebel against social norms even while creating them.

Recently…I found the original files for what to date is still one of my favorite projects and I am posting them so you can once again enjoy The Good Life
